Quick checks before you call
- Switch off at the plug and close the water tap before checking anything.
- Check that the drain hose is not kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe.
- Clean the pump filter if your model has one (keep a towel and shallow tray ready for water).
- Redistribute an overloaded or bunched load, then try the spin cycle again.

Washing Machine Repair questions answered
Why is my washing machine not draining?
The most common causes are a clogged drain pump filter, a kinked or blocked drain hose, or a failing drain pump. Many machines also refuse to spin while water is still inside, so a drain fault can look like a spin fault.
Is it safe to open the pump filter myself?
If your manual shows it, yes: unplug the machine, close the tap and keep towels and a shallow tray ready because water will come out. If you are unsure, do not force it. Call us and we will do it safely.
Do you repair both front-load and top-load machines?
Yes. We service fully automatic front-load and top-load machines as well as semi-automatic twin-tub washers.
Is repair worth it, or should I replace my machine?
If the machine is under about 8 to 10 years old and the fault is a pump, belt, valve or lock, repair usually makes sense. We will tell you honestly if the cost is close to a new machine.
